Security

Your keys. Your decisions. Your security.

Account control starts with private recovery information and informed decisions. Review addresses, permissions and transaction details as you navigate a decentralized network.

Core habits

Six habits worth making automatic.

Address verification

Compare the full address, or at least the first and last six characters, with a source you trust. Clipboard-altering malware exists; re-check after pasting.

Phishing awareness

Fake websites, ads and messages imitate real products. Reach Zilliqa Wallet by typing the address yourself or using a bookmark.

App and connection review

When an application asks to connect or to approve token spending, read what is being requested. Revoke approvals you no longer need.

Recovery information

Your recovery phrase restores your accounts. Write it down offline, store it privately, and never enter it into a website, form or chat.

Update habits

Keep your operating system and wallet software current. Compare the source and filename whenever you download a new version.

Suspicious requests

Signals that should make you stop.

If you notice any of these, pause. Legitimate services can wait while you check.

  • Recovery phrase requests

Someone asks for your recovery phrase or private key — for any reason.

  • Unsolicited support

A 'support agent' contacts you first, especially through direct messages.

  • Urgency pressure

You're told funds will be lost unless you act within minutes.

  • Guaranteed returns

An offer promises guaranteed or unusually high returns.

  • Validation or migration forms

A website asks you to 'validate', 'sync' or 'migrate' your wallet by entering words.

  • Lookalike domains

A link's domain is slightly different from the one you know.

Migration & legacy

Understand the address. Follow the migration path.

Zilliqa's evolution means some users hold assets associated with older address formats or network contexts. Questions about moving those assets are important — and they are exactly the questions scammers target.

Address conversion changes how an address is written. Asset migration follows a separate network process. Keep recovery information private throughout that process.

Use Zilliqa documentation

For migration steps, rely on Zilliqa documentation and announcements. Our Address & Legacy Help explains the concepts so you can follow that guidance confidently.

Legacy formatzil1…

bech32 · the original Zilliqa address style

Converting the format does not itself move funds

EVM format0x…

hex · the Ethereum-compatible context

Our commitment

Zilliqa Wallet will never ask you to share your recovery phrase — not by email, not in chat, not on this website.
